Imperial Stout with Palo Santo wood.

A collaboration with our good friends at Wandering Monsters Brewing. Wood Golem is a full-bodied imperial stout, conditioned on Palo Santo wood. This South American wood is often used as incense, because of its natural aromas of mint, licorice, and cinnamon; it’s hard to describe, but incredibly enticing! We conditioned this imperial stout on Palo Santo wood for only a few days to impart these flavors into the beer.

Tasting Notes: A full-bodied, roasty stout with low bitterness. Palo Santo imparts mint, cinnamon, and licorice characteristics (to name a few, but there is definitely more going on here).
