Asset 3

We brew with a farmhouse mentality, deriving inspiration from locally sourced ingredients. While saisons and barrel aged sours are close to our hearts, we also love to brew and drink a hop-forward pale ale or a subtly crafted lager. Nothing is off the table, as long as it pairs well with friends and family!

We strive to make our brewery a reflection of our beliefs. We source the majority of our grain and a portion of our hops in-state. Our electricity is generated by our solar panels and wind power credits. We are 100% independently owned. Every little bit helps.

Little Fish Brewing Company added an event.

Join us Sunday November 26th from 6:00-8:00pm for some amazing music from John Miller and Chloe Edmonstone.

John R Miller grew up in Hedgesville, a small town in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia where the mountains meet Interstate 81. A co-founding member of hard-traveling bands The Fox Hunt and Prison Book Club, and carrying a unique-but-familiar bag of country blues & folk (stylistically in the same wheelhouse as Blaze Foley, E.C. Ball, Guy Clark), he has performed music in nearly all 50 states, Canada, Ireland, the UK, Japan, and much of Europe. He has twice appeared on NPR's Mountain Stage with The Fox Hunt, and as a bassist he has performed and toured extensively with the Hackensaw Boys, Locust Honey, William Matheny & the Strange Constellations, and many others. He has also been a featured songwriter and performer on the Travelin' Appalachians Revue.

His songs have been performed and recorded by several notable artists, including David F. Bello and Tyler Childers. He can often be found performing solo, alongside fiddle player Chloe Edmonstone, or with his band The Engine Lights. New album is due in Spring 2018 on Emperor Records.

Chloe Edmonstone will be accompanying Miller on fiddle and harmony vocals.

Hope to see you there.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! We are CLOSED today. We will re-open tomorrow at 1:00 for the Maker of Things bottle release.

Yesterday we got a delivery from Green Edge organic farm of 200 pounds of pie pumpkins and 15 pounds of baby ginger. We’ll be brewing a 100% Ohio-grown “field beer” next week with these fun ingredients. So today, we are thankful to live in a community that values local agriculture and locally made foods and drinks. We are thankful that so many individuals and businesses are taking the initiative to be more sustainable. And we are super thankful for YOUR support, helping us make our dreams come true with this whole beer brewing thing. Cheers to many more years of making great beers for you!

Little Fish Brewing Company added an event.

This upcoming Friday the 24th at 1:00 pm, we’ll be releasing our 2017 bottling of “Maker of Things”, our sour red ale aged in our American oak foeder. Please remember to support local businesses when you are doing your holiday shopping, especially your local “makers of things”, whatever their chosen media may be!

We have enough beer that we will not have to place bottle limits on this beer...for now. 750 ml bottles are $16.99 each, 375 ml bottles are $8.99.

Amazingly, we also still have 6 cases left of the 2016 bottling, and those will be for sale at the same price.

Friday and Saturday only, we will also be offering a 15% discount on all “merch”, including clothing, hydroflasks, woodcut prints, and glassware. We also have a number of other barrel-aged bottled beers still available at the taproom (check our website for the full bottle list and draft list).

Now the best part, the story of this beer: Maker of Things is a continuously-aged sour red ale that lives in our 30 barrel oak foeder. When we feel that the timing and flavor are just right, we remove a certain amount of the beer for packaging, and then we re-fill the foeder with freshly fermented red base. This year’s batch is definitely the best we have produced yet, as the oak character mellows and the average age of the beer increases. This year’s batch was at an AVERAGE age of fourteen months when bottled, and still contains about 9% of the first beer to fill the foeder (an old ale we named The Aecern). It is 7.5% alcohol by volume, and the pH was at 3.2 when bottled. It was bottled conditioned for over two months before release. This beer should age well for years if properly cellared, but it is ready to drink right now.

Just a quick reminder about this weekend’s activities: Tonight from 7-10, DJ Tim Peacock will be spinning vinyl from his personal, highly eclectic record collection (indoors due to weather).
Tomorrow is #kidsday from 1-5 with Rural Action. Fun outdoor nature activities, and kids drink free! (Juice or organic ginger ale). Cheers!
