This sour blond ale was aged for over a year in barrels that held “Bourbon Barrel Aged Cider” from our friends at Hawk Knob Cidery and Meadery. We named it after the Sharp-shinned Hawk, which is one of the raptor species that we see around the brewery quite a bit. We find that the cider and light bourbon notes play well off the simple background sour beer.

Check out our friends at Hawk Knob Cider for some fantastic traditional ciders, made from heritage varieties of apples grown in West Virginia!
