Saison with sumac berries.

A collaboration with our friends at Sixth Sense Brewery.

We brewed this saison with Sugar Creek pilsner malt and Spelt malt, some Cashmere hops, and an addition of sumac “berries” in the kettle. The sumac (No relation to poison sumac!!!) provides a little tartness and citrus notes to the flavor of this clean, fresh saison.

Tasting Notes: Tropical / juicy fruit notes from yeast, black pepper. Slightly tart, citrusy notes contributed by the sumac. Pillowy body from the spelt.
