Little Fish supports local producers and local eco Little Fish supports local producers and local economies for many reasons - our love for our Athens community, for the farmers that deserve a sustainable income, and because of the superior ethics, nutrition, and flavor of food grown close to home. Another less-glamorous reason is for food safety. We know the fields our greens are grown in, the water source for our microgreens, and the practices of the meat producers. All that said, there are some things that a restaurant uses that the local supply chain cannot produce in quantities to satisfy our community’s appetites - fresh herbs and some of the lettuces among them. Given the uncertain cause of the cyclospora in our national food chain, we are making a few menu changes to increase our locally-sourced produce. We’re doing this out of an abundance of caution to keep our food and our community safe. Our burgers will now be dressed with greens from Blaney Farm, we’re temporarily 86ing chimichurri from the fries (but have a delicious malt vinegar to offer!), and items that are normally garnished with fresh herbs will come with local microgreens or a blanched herb oil. Our menu will remain as delicious and well-prepared as always, but look a little different while we wait for the source of this foodborne illness to be identified. And hey - we’re keeping even more of our food spending in the Athens area! @woodsie.chef.jennie

Continuing with the @ohiobrewweek news, events, and updates: 1) Tonight from 5-7 join us for a T-shirt screen printing event with the @ohio.university Print Club! Get your own limited-edition Little Fish logos printed on a shirt provided by us for $25. Or, bring your own shirt or hoodie, and we will print on it for you for $15! A portion of sales are donated to the print club. 2) Here’s the Burger of the Day schedule for the rest of the week. Today’s burger is “Pimento”: Smash Burger with Pimento cheese, a fried green tomato, and butter lettuce. Yum! 3) A reminder that it’s Jon Sparhawk Day all across Athens. To honor the late founder of brew week, folks are encouraged to wear a Hawaiian shirt and do something nice for your fellow human beings! 4) Tomorrow night (Wednesday) is Frights and Pints movie night with @drgordonbriggs . Double feature of ghostly/gobliny movies and all your favorite beers. We’re showing Ghostbusters in the taproom at 6:00. Then we’ll do a fun, informal horror movie trivia in the expansion. At 8:00, we’re showing Army of Darkness (rated R, not really recommended for younger kids). -We hope you’re enjoying all the special events and beers across Athens! Most Mondays we are closed, but today for Brew Week, we open our doors for you. Please read on for the most current updates. 1) Tonight’s beer pairing dinner is SOLD OUT! Thanks so much to everyone who showed their interest and bought a ticket. We are so excited to be putting this on tonight! 2) We are open to the public, with a limited food menu (to accommodate for the beer dinner). Here’s what we DO have: All our Detroit-style pizzas, bar snacks, and small plates. Here’s what we DON’T have: The chef’s menu, sandwiches, or burgers. The full menu will return on Tuesday! 3) Tomorrow, Tuesday 7/14 from 5-7pm is our t-shirt screen printing event! Full details on our FB events page. Print a special Little Fish logo design on a T-shirt provided by us for $25. Or, possibly even more fun, bring in your own T-shirt or hoodie, and we will print on it for $15. A portion of proceeds go to the @ohio.university Print Club. The Design in photo #3 is the design we will be printing. As well as a plain “circle logo” option. 4) Don’t forget that Tuesday is also Jon Sparhawk day. Athens is honoring the founder of OBW by encouraging everyone to wear a Hawaiian shirt. Happy @ohiobrewweek Sunday, y’all. Once again we Happy @ohiobrewweek Sunday, y’all. Once again we have an action-packed day to mark the occasion. Here’s the most up-to-date info!: 1)The Hellbender Jazz Organ Trio plays tonight from 7-9. Depending on the weather, we will set this up either indoors or outdoors. We have a couple really nice tents out on the patio that are working great for light rain, but if it’s heavy rain, or if there’s thunder, the band will play in the brewery expansion. 2) Our smash burger of the day is “mushroom & swiss” with garlic aioli and arugula. Yum! We also have our regular smash burgers and our full menu available. 3) Updated draft list: We just tapped “Smoke & Biers”, our mulberry wood-smoked golden lager that we brewed in friendship with @woolypigfarmbrewery . We and Wooly pig love a great smoked lager, so this collab just made perfect sense. Brewed with mulberry wood-smoked malt from @sugarcreekmaltco , this lager has notes of fresh campfire and fruity wood nuances. 4) Tomorrow, Monday, we will be open specifically for our Brew Week customers from 12-10. It’s also our (sold out) beer pairing dinner. We will be serving a paired-down version of@our regular menu for the day in order to accommodate for the beer dinner cooking & serving. 5) Tuesday night from 5-7 PM, we are doing T-shirt screen printing! You can get your own Little Fish logo design printed on a shirt we provide for $25. Or, if you prefer, bring your own shirt or sweater, and we will print on it for $15. Your choice! Catch ya soon. Happy Anniversary to us! 🎉 Yep, today marks 11 won Happy Anniversary to us! 🎉 Yep, today marks 11 wonderful years in business. We have a really special party planned out today and we want to give you all the details, so please read below! 😃 1) Starting at 4:00, we’ll have a pop-up bar set up outside. We’re prepared for the drizzle with a couple of huge extra tents to keep us all dry. We have 3 special collabs going on the jockey box, plus one in cans. The collabs are listed on photo #1. Here are the breweries we made these awesome beers with!: @sixthsensebrewing @woolypigfarmbrewery @seventh_son_brewing @jackieosbrewery @yellowspringsbrewery . 2) Music starts at 4:00 with “Hutchinson’s Melody Makers”, an old-time Appalachian fiddle band. Then at 7:00, @the_holes_athens plays! Both of these bands will be set up outside, unless the weather is really bad, in which case we will move the party into the brewery expansion. 3) Today’s smash burger of the day is a “steakhouse burger”, with pepper jack, crispy pickled onions, and chipotle aioli. We also have our regular smash burger, and our regular full food menu! 4) Reminder for Jazz tomorrow (Sunday). The Hellbender Jazz Organ Trio starts at 7:00. Don’t miss this killer free show! We have a lot of stuff going on, so please read through these details for the most up-to-date information! 1) Our smash burger of the day is “caprese”: fresh mozz, tomato, basil, and balsamic aioli. We also have our regular smash burgers too! 2) Updated draft list! We will try and update our socials daily during brew week so that you can keep up with new beer tappings. We just tapped up a keg of Moonville Stout 2026, a decadent bourbon barrel aged imperial stout, coming in at 16.4% abv. We also just tapped a fresh batch of Green Bridge IPA, our West coast IPA. Plenty to choose from! 3) 2 new bottles going on sale today: the aforementioned Moonville Stout 2026, and Sunfish. Sunfish is our foeder-aged sour blonde ale, bottle & keg conditioned on Ohio wildflower honey. Both bottles are for sale in Athens & Dayton, with no limit on quantity. We also have bottles of Pinche Guey, Maker of Things, and Appalachian Spontaneous Ale Batch 2. Grab some up! 4) Don’t miss our 11th anniversary party tomorrow. We’re tapping up 3 special collab beers out on the jockey box on the patio. We’ve got a huge extra tent to keep everyone dry in case of rain. 5) Just a reminder that we are open to the public with a limited menu this Monday, a special day for Brew Week. Hours are noon-10:00.
