Hop Crown IPA
Fresh hop IPA collaboration with Fat Head’s Brewery
Named for the “crown”, or main rootstock, of the hop plant, but also a nod to our friends at Fat Head’s’ ability to win medal upon medal for their hop-forward West coast IPA’s, Hop Crown IPA punches pretty heavy for an IPA brewed at our little farmhouse brewery.
Hop Crown IPA was brewed with hand-selected Simcoe, Mosaic, and Krush hops in the boil, and hop-backed with fresh, never-dried Michigan Chinook from Top Hops. Then we hit it with more Simcoe, Mosaic, and Krush in the dry hop stage. ‘
Tasting notes: Crisp and clear, with layers of resiny hop aroma. Hop aroma descriptors include fruit punch, floral and pine. Bitter and piney with a lightly sweet, crisp finish.
