It’s the last day of @ohiobrewweek , y’all, but th It’s the last day of @ohiobrewweek , y’all, but the fun isn’t over yet. 1) If you’re uptown at Last Call today, stop by and say hi to our sales manager, @bozy10 , and he’ll pour you a beer! We’re pouring Sylph, our Cold IPA, and Spruce Crispy, our 100% Ohio-grown spruce tip lager. 2) The burger of the day is “falafel burger”. This carrot falafel patty is garnished with cukes, herbed yogurt, local greens, and pickled onion. We also have our beef smashburger, and our entire menu available all day. 3) Here’s our beer list for the last day of brew week. Whether you’re in the mood for barrel-aged stouts, light lagers with lime, or anything in between, we’ve got something that will suit your tastes. Enjoy the last day of this special week! 🍻❤️
Welp, we did not have “air pollution from wildfire Welp, we did not have “air pollution from wildfires” on our bingo card for today. We have to make some adjustments to our @ohiobrewweek plans. Please read on. 1) Due to the dangerous levels of air pollution (and our lack of space for a band indoors), we have made the difficult decision to cancel the @oyotheband show for tonight. We are so sorry to let folks down in this regard! We were super pumped to host OYO’s great talent here, and we will make sure to get them back on the band schedule soon. 2) We are, nonetheless, still open for business, indoors only. We’ve set up extra seating in our brewery expansion to give us maximum space for y’all during Brew Week. Come on in! 3) Our special smash burger of the day is “Kraut”. This single or double patty (your choice) is loaded up with sauerkraut, onion ring, Swiss cheese, and Thousand Island dressing. Come try it! OK, stay safe out there, folks. No need for a ticket; it’s à la carte. All dishes are “until we run out”. We are preparing a lot, but there’s a good possibility that some things could 86 at some point. The Hei Hei smash burger will be available all day, starting at noon. Our regular menu is available until 5:00. Happy @ohiobrewweek !
Little Fish supports local producers and local eco Little Fish supports local producers and local economies for many reasons - our love for our Athens community, for the farmers that deserve a sustainable income, and because of the superior ethics, nutrition, and flavor of food grown close to home. Another less-glamorous reason is for food safety. We know the fields our greens are grown in, the water source for our microgreens, and the practices of the meat producers. All that said, there are some things that a restaurant uses that the local supply chain cannot produce in quantities to satisfy our community’s appetites - fresh herbs and some of the lettuces among them. Given the uncertain cause of the cyclospora in our national food chain, we are making a few menu changes to increase our locally-sourced produce. We’re doing this out of an abundance of caution to keep our food and our community safe. Our burgers will now be dressed with greens from Blaney Farm, we’re temporarily 86ing chimichurri from the fries (but have a delicious malt vinegar to offer!), and items that are normally garnished with fresh herbs will come with local microgreens or a blanched herb oil. Our menu will remain as delicious and well-prepared as always, but look a little different while we wait for the source of this foodborne illness to be identified. And hey - we’re keeping even more of our food spending in the Athens area! @woodsie.chef.jennie
Howdy, folks! Continuing with the @ohiobrewweek ne Howdy, folks! Continuing with the @ohiobrewweek news, events, and updates: 1) Tonight from 5-7 join us for a T-shirt screen printing event with the @ohio.university Print Club! Get your own limited-edition Little Fish logos printed on a shirt provided by us for $25. Or, bring your own shirt or hoodie, and we will print on it for you for $15! A portion of sales are donated to the print club. 2) Here’s the Burger of the Day schedule for the rest of the week. Today’s burger is “Pimento”: Smash Burger with Pimento cheese, a fried green tomato, and butter lettuce. Yum! 3) A reminder that it’s Jon Sparhawk Day all across Athens. To honor the late founder of brew week, folks are encouraged to wear a Hawaiian shirt and do something nice for your fellow human beings! 4) Tomorrow night (Wednesday) is Frights and Pints movie night with @drgordonbriggs . Double feature of ghostly/gobliny movies and all your favorite beers. We’re showing Ghostbusters in the taproom at 6:00. Then we’ll do a fun, informal horror movie trivia in the expansion. At 8:00, we’re showing Army of Darkness (rated R, not really recommended for younger kids). -We hope you’re enjoying all the special events and beers across Athens!
