Over a year ago, our neighbor Pete, who lives “down the holler” from us on Armitage Road, called to let us know we could come pick some peaches for brewing if we were so inclined. His white peaches, in addition to some yellow peaches from another secret forage spot, went into a couple of oak barrels that were souring up pretty nicely. Those two barrels, plus a bourbon barrel full of sour red ale on apricot puree, made up this one-time blend. It’s quite puckeringly sour, more so than most of the sour ales we do here. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!
